In reading the latest COLA newsletter, I was so proud of what all of you have made of your organization! You make worthwhile the years I spent as former City Councilmember Jan Drago's Legislative Aide fighting to get and keep off-leash areas. I staffed Seattle Animal Control issues for 10 years and 5 of those were spent working on OLA. In fact, I consider as one of my top two achievements in staffing Jan helping to overturn 125 years of Seattle law against dogs being off-leash anywhere in the city! I'm retired now, living in Tacoma, and note all the dog parks that have opened in Tacoma-Pierce County without a hitch, thanks, I'm certain, to the success of Seattle's program. Kudos to all of you!
