COLA has published a map to Seattle's dog parks. You can download the map here, or pick one up when you visit one of our parks!

At these designated off-leash areas, you are free to run, roll over, meet new friends, work out, play with your owners and socialize with your canine friends.

Please remember that you're not allowed, even with a leash, in children's play areas or on organized athletic fields. Dogs are also not allowed on beaches, except for inside the Magnuson OLA, which includes the only dog-friendly beach area in Seattle.

Each OLA has a dedicated Park Steward who acts as liaison between COLA and the appropriate Parks Department representative to work on maintaining and improving the OLAs.

You can use the navigation at left to view details about each OLA. If you are interested in starting an off-leash area in your neighborhood, contact for more information.

There are a number of off-leash areas outside of Seattle, and many are close enough to make for a perfect weekend getway. Please note that COLA is not associated in any way with these off-leash areas.

Mercer Island
A small area with beach access is located in Luther Burbank Park. The off-leash area is not completely fenced, so be careful!

Redmond
Located off Route 520 in Marymoor Park, this 40-acre off-leash area is doggie Nirvana! Go to the SODA site for more info.

Edmonds
Located in the southern-most tip of the Edmonds Marina, past the dry boat storage. This OLA has water access on a small rocky beach, but at low tide it becomes a huge playfield - this one can't be beat!

Whidbey & Camano Islands
There are many areas on both islands that allow off-leash activity, and some have beach access! View the FETCH site for more information.

Snohomish
A path around former wastewater-treatment pond, located next to city's wastewater treatment plant, west of Hwy 9 off Riverview Road/Second St. Accessed via obscure trail along plant's wire fence.

Tacoma
The first OLA is finally open in Rogers Park at 3300 East L St. Please visit the Tacoma Dog Park site for more info.

Everett

Gold Bar
A small field on south side of Hwy 2, at Sixth St (en route to Stevens Pass). Wheelchair accessible.
