Plymouth Pillars Park

Grand Opening: Saturday, January 14th, 2006 at 1:30pm

This Pro-Parks project has been under development for several years. A year ago, plans were underway for a plaza covering most of the site. In April 2004, Parks advertised for construction bids. Bids for the original design came in higher than the budget, making the original design impossible to build. At that point, the community initiated efforts to turn the park into a dog off-leash area. In July 2005, the park was re-named Plymouth Pillars Park.

The off-leash area is roughly 9,800 square feet, with a long, narrow design with a fantastic scenic view of downtown! The surface is crushed rock, and there is a unique human/dog drinking fountain inside the park.

Steward: COLA is looking for a volunteer steward for this park! If you are interested in knowing more about what a steward is, contact us at cola@coladog.org.

Directions: Located on Capitol Hill at the intersection of Boren Avenue and Pike Street above I-5.
